PT-SERIES GRAVURE SURFACE PRINTING INK FOR PLASTIC FILM
PT-series gravure surface printing ink for the plastic film is an alcohol-ester soluble surface printing ink made of polyamide as the main resin, applicable to surface printing on LDPE, CPP, OPP, and other films.
I. Scope of Application
1. Suitable for surface printing on LDPE, CPP, OPP, and other polyolefin film with surface tension ≥ 38dyn.
2. It can be applied to surface printing for light packaging food and sanitary paper packaging. Still, it can not be used for the packaging required of oil resistance, chemical resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and boiling resistance.
Ⅱ. Application Characteristics
1. Suitable for low viscosity printing and surface printing for high gloss and high chroma plastic packaging, while not recommended for laminated packaging.
2. Good ink transfer when printing high gloss parts, with excellent printing adaptability and stability.
3. Good flexibility and adhesion, excellent friction resistance, and freezing resistance.
4. Good adhesion resistance, but must be used with dilution solvent scientifically and reasonably.

Ⅴ. Dilution Solvent Ratio
With different printing diluents, ink can be widely used at different printing speeds from 60m/min to 250m/min, and gravure engraving depths from 15µm to 50µm.

Ⅵ. Notice
1. In practical application, the performance of ink would be affected by the environmental temperature and humidity, printing facility and process, as well as plate making parameters, etc. Please adjust the dilution solvent according to the actual situation.
2. Please shake the ink sufficiently before opening the barrel to ensure that each component of the ink is even after pouring. It’s better to use the ink as soon as possible after opening the barrel and within its shelf life. If the used ink is reused, please add only a small amount to the fresh ink.
3. Ink will gel at temperatures below 0℃. To restore the ink to its original state and continue to use it, warm it up with hot water or steam, or place it in a curing room. Direct heating with fire is strictly prohibited to avoid fire hazards. It is recommended to use it in environmental conditions of 5-30℃.
4. When the packaging content contains oils or other volatile chemicals, the ink layer may soften, peel off, or exhibit anti-sticking phenomena.
5. Low-molecular-weight additives in the printing substrate or ink can cause pigment particles to migrate to the surface. When wiped with a tissue, color bleeding may occur, which is more pronounced in large-area practical printing. It is recommended to use a gloss oil as an additional measure.
6. Store the product in a cool and ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
