On May 10th, domestic glacial acetic acid prices continued to rise. Prices in South China saw narrow adjustments, with today's market prices reported at 3200-3250 yuan/ton, unchanged from the previous day. Market prices in Shandong continued to rise. Quotations in North China also increased, and trading activity in the region was satisfactory. From the supply side, favorable support remains, and manufacturers have a clear mindset of maintaining prices. It is expected that acetic acid prices will remain high in the short term, but it is necessary to monitor the follow-up demand from the downstream market.
Meanwhile, on May 10th, the domestic ethyl acetate market also showed a trend of high-level consolidation. Prices in North China rose, with Shandong's main factories conducting competitive sales, starting prices remaining stable, and trading activity remaining sluggish. Prices in East China saw minor adjustments, with holders having shipment needs, spot negotiations being general, and small rigid demand buy-side orders. Prices in South China remained high, with the market mostly digesting social inventories, holders actively offering prices, and buy-side rigid demand following up.
